iOS 12: Things You Need to Know

The iOS 12, Apple’s next new operating system, is rumored to run iPad apps on macOS. However, other rumor suggests that the upcoming iOS will focus on stability as Apple will put features on hold until next year. Here’s everything we know about the iOS 12 so far.

iOS 12 Release Date

The iOS 12 is expected to be announced at WWDC in June this year. The iOS 12 release date is predicted on September this year alongside new iPhones.

Of course we are expecting new features coming in iOS 12. Though it’s too early to find out more about it, some rumors and leaks have helped us to know some new features that might be available on the upcoming iOS.

Apple is said to keep focusing on performance and quality improvements. The current iOS still have some bugs so the company is said to be working at stability and bug fixes. Apple is also rumored to hold some new features for the company’s next year iOS.

However, a new report from Axios suggest that Apple is preparing new features on iOS 12. The report also suggest that there will be some improvements and changes on the Health app, Augmented reality feature, and parental controls. So we might see a per-app passcode or Touch ID lock for the parental control. Another features expected to be available on the iOS 12 are Health related features.

The iOS 12 is also expected to bring new features like Multi-user FaceTime calls. This is one of the long waited features expected to be available for iOS. This feature will allow group calls via FaceTime video just like those on Skype. The Verifier has predicted this and adds that Apple is considering making the FaceTime app more of a social experience. Please note that this is just a rumor so we should take it with a pinch of salt and wait for the official statement from Apple.

Other expected features of iOS 12 are multiple user accounts, new Messages features, smart Wi-Fi, the ability to view and edit Favorites in Contact, and more. Apple is also expected to bring finger detecting dynamic keyboard on the upcoming iOS. Users also want to see the Slide to unlock back on their hansets.
