iOS 10 Compatible Devices – Apple is about to announce its upcoming mobile operating system, iOS 10. The company officially announced the current iOS 9 on fall last year so we can expect to see the next operating system on the same time this year. Some of you might wonder if older devices, such as the iPhone 4S or the fifth-gen iPod will make the cut to the upgrade. What are the iOS 10 compatible devices?

On iOS 9, these old devices are available for the upgrade. In fact, the current iOS is available for all iOS 8 devices. The supported devices for iOS 9 includes the iPhone 4S, the iPhone 5, the iPhone 5C, the iPhone 5S, the iPod Touch fifth-generation, the iPad 2, the iPad with Retina Display, the iPad Air, the iPad Mini and the iPad Mini with Retina Display. iOS 10 is expected to bring some improvements. Rumors suggest that the new operating system will bring new features like a new security system that Apple is working on called ‘Rootless’. This new security system will make iOS 10 impossible to jailbreak. This will probably be a bad news for jailbreakers.

iOS 10 is also said to have HomeKit hub which might be called ‘Home’. This feature will allow users to control home appliances from their iPhone or Mac.

Another iOS 10 feature which is said to arrive with iOS 10 is iCloud Voicemail feature. This feature is said to replace standard voicemail. The new feature will allow users to quickly glance at and read voicemail messages, rather than having to listen to them.
